Then build on it
Three courses take you from playing a full game to playing well: the rules behind tricky interactions, the strategy that wins games, and building your own decks.
We want ManaScholar to be the place where every Magic player trains, the way chess players train on chess.com. Getting better at Magic should be deliberate, not accidental: interactive turn-based simulations, strategy puzzles and a personal learning path that grows with you, whether you're casting your first spell or preparing for your first tournament.
It’s open now, and free: puzzles on a live board, a daily puzzle, Streak and Rush, review of your mistakes, practice sets for each course and games against the computer. Every puzzle from Opening Hand is there. Start training →
All four courses, from your first game to building your own decks.

One learning path, from your first card to building your own decks. Start with Opening Hand; every course after it builds on the one before. Each is built on the trainings we’ve given since 2010.
